If there is a rematch, Winky can win. He started figuring Taylor out towards the end. Jermain would just wait until Winky threw his jab to counter. Once Winky figured that out, he timed his shots better. I tak enothing away from Jermain though. Afterall, these are the best fighters int he division.
Good post. Winky has his way late in the fight. he was confident, moved forward, and Taylor's 'blasting through the guard'(re: not actually landing puches) was a last resort because he was techincally overmatched. I give credit to Taylor for fighting through it, but he was outclassed in my very humble opinion. I don't really see a need for a rematch, as Winky could well have other more interesting fights in mind. And it's not like he has something to prove. He probably feels like he's already shown he can outbox the top middleweight.

Taylors left eye was swelling only a little, then made much much worse by a headbutt, otherwise he was barely marked.

When Winky finds out he can only make $500K fighting bums, or $4M fighting a rematch, guess what? We'll see a rematch - this time in Las Vegas.

If Taylor smarts up and avoids the rope-a-dope rubbish, he'll win an easy UD. He needs to LISTEN to his corner.
yeah he got hit and hard. but not by as many punches as taylor hit him with. i think sam hit him just as much but he had no power
