A fighter can be passed it, diminshed, slower, etc and still not finished. Mayweather himself was all of those things aswell when they fought. Despite that they were both universally considered to be two of the best fighters in the world at the time so I don't think that's a finished fighter.
mayweather hadn't been put to sleep or been raked through the coals like pac had...

two fighters, one guy is past prime, practically untouched, another guy, past prime, war torn, plus put to sleep a couple of fights prior, is not two guys both fighting at the peak of their powers...i don't care what kind of excuse spin you try to put on it to make your favorite fighter look good, and only a shameless, sav-a-floyd would even try

Not sure why you even have an opinion on this matter considering you said it was a mismatch when Pacquaio was in his prime and you didn't want to see it.

However luckily for you the fight you and "the world" wanted to see, Floyd-Shane, did happen.

its a full-time job for these guys to pump more life into cotto, shane, and pac then what they really possessed....you hit the nail on the head here they just have to deal with it....hell sugar ray admits that he picked the right time to fight hagler, and he got a good amount of credit for outpointing him...i don't know why the floyd boys just can't accept these low risk wins for what they are worth
There's really no need to pump life into Mosley.

You did that yourself in 2010 when you personally called for Floyd to fight Shane.

        Remember?

            You're answering the wrong question.

The question is who was the BIGGER Hypejob.

            Of the list:

Broner wasn't yet "hyped". He just had potential but hadn't really broken out. Talented but never top tier.

            Mora was never hyped. Ever.

Golovkin hasn't lost and is largely only hyped by NSB and ESPN.

It's a tossup between Lomachenko - who by making fighters quit has largely backed up the hype at least thus far - and Pacquiao, who was once stated to be the "only guy that can beat Floyd" right here on NSB. People selectively forget that. He failed.

Not only that, Manny got embarrassed and schooled, resorting to excuses.

So you go from "the only guy that can beat Floyd" to "well, Manny was washed up."

            It's a tie.

I say Manny, because Loma hasn't completely failed and gotten handled. Salido was a SD, he didn't get completely outclassed.

Pacquaio did some good stuff in his career though. Beat a couple of guys I'd say were good even. His career post Marquez really isn't relevant as he'd been bodybagged and was clearly faded after that. Some even think he beat Mayweather (who had a su****ious IV) with one arm. I personally felt it looked like a draw were both did nothing but Pacquaio (due to being completely faded) looked worse doing nothing but I didn't pay a great deal attention to the fight.

Pacquaio post Marquez is as relevant to me as Holyfield after Lewis or Benitez after Hearns for example. They'd peaked but those lost close ones at the end whereas Pacquaio was brutalized out of his best days.

So Floyd is the biggest hype job? Called tbe by his fans and a lot put him on the top 10 greatest ever with a weak resume since his best win Pac(who already got KO'd by JMM) is a hype job himself.
