Derevyanchenko been in his Mandatory Spot for the Longest but at the same time that is not a guy you want only a few weeks to prepare for so it will be Spike O'Sullivan

Derevyanchenko was the front runner, Boo Boo second with negligible interest in Spike or the Mexican kid. Charlo and BJS weren't included because they ain't available for that date.
My opinion? For about the 30th time Derevyanchenko 100% unless the fight is postponed until Saunders becomes available at which point I'd probably pick the unification. After those 2 it needs to be Charlo and after that Murata if the regular champ still is regular champ by then. Frankly they should tell Canelo and GBP to go fuck themselves, but I'm doubting that's how it's gonna go down.

Anyway. The people have spoken! If Golovkin wants to maintain any credibility he needs to fight Derevyanchenko next, then Saunders when he becomes available, then Charlo then Murata (or whoever is WBA regular by then)... and he needs to fuck Canelo off.Last edited by Citizen Koba; 04-12-2018, 01:41 PM.

before it was understandable dudes actually didnt wanna fight him (especially guys his weight class) but then team ggg began flip flopping and now we see for ourselves that if they dont take this fight or the BJS fight this year they were bullshitting this entire time

clenelo clearly messed up this time.....
thats passed already we already know hes likely to get suspended etc....
while on that.....
ggg's team is looking for their fighter to try and fight anyways on may 5th.....
the names that they (we have heard) are spike sullivan and vanes marty..... who posted on his ig that hes on that 30 day weight after he got the call up.....
then there is the IBF mando in Sergy Derevyanchenko...
ggg hasn't made an ibf obligation since 2016.... so its well passed its due time for it and derevyanchenko is the ibf mando...
Lou dibella, derevyanchenko's promoter, has clearly stated that he intends to communicate with the IBF to force the mando fight now that the canelo fight is not happening. He has also stated that sergy is READY for the may 5th fight so no rescheduling will need to happen.....
all of a sudden team ggg wants to cancel this date altogether (which imo the only way to respect that if he fights BJS in his very next fight)....
imo they should.... scratch that ... they NEED to defend that ibf title of its a clear duck....
ima put a poll up of 4 names.... and a 5th option of cancelling and fighting BJS
Charlo, Derevyanchenko, Sullivan and vanes

And that option sucks.
this is the 1st I heard of this.....

Of course, the temptations are obvious, and I can't exactly blame GGG for looking for the paydays any more than I would another fighter for doing the same, but effectively putting himself at the mercy of other fighters' whims has ultimately proved harmful for his career IMO. Hindsight's a wonderful thing though, and of course we've no way of knowing how things might have worked out otherwise - and anyway I suspect Golovkin's accountant may not agree with me.Last edited by Citizen Koba; 04-12-2018, 03:08 PM.

GGG's team is trying to recover from a relatively last minute cancelation of a fight they have been preparing for. They are trying to get him to fight the best possible opponent under very trying circumstances (short notice, low cash offer). Its not easy.Last edited by yankees7448; 04-12-2018, 03:09 PM.
