Who should GGG fight on May 5th?

clenelo clearly messed up this time.....

thats passed already we already know hes likely to get suspended etc....

ggg's team is looking for their fighter to try and fight anyways on may 5th.....

the names that they (we have heard) are spike sullivan and vanes marty..... who posted on his ig that hes on that 30 day weight after he got the call up.....


then there is the IBF mando in Sergy Derevyanchenko...

ggg hasn't made an ibf obligation since 2016.... so its well passed its due time for it and derevyanchenko is the ibf mando...

Lou dibella, derevyanchenko's promoter, has clearly stated that he intends to communicate with the IBF to force the mando fight now that the canelo fight is not happening. He has also stated that sergy is READY for the may 5th fight so no rescheduling will need to happen.....


all of a sudden team ggg wants to cancel this date altogether (which imo the only way to respect that if he fights BJS in his very next fight)....

imo they should.... scratch that ... they NEED to defend that ibf title of its a clear duck....

Martirosyan was rejected.

Saunders is injured.

Andrade is not even being considered which is shameful.

GGG's camp want Sullivan but DiBella is breathing down their necks to force the IBF mandatory or strip Golovkin.

At this stage there won't be a fight at all May 5th and Golovkin will sit on ice until Canelo returns. Golovkin's entire existence revolves around Canelo so I don't understand why he made those accusations against him knowing damn well his incompetent team had no solid plan b.

I remember when Wade was GGG's IBF mandatory and they fought, and the same haters claiming he needs to fight his mandatory against Derevychanko gave so much **** to Golovkin before and after for fighting Wade. Funny how their tone changes


He should fight Saunders next. After that, there are a number of options, but I think him moving up to fight Groves would be absolutely intriguing.

Derevyanchenko was the front runner, Boo Boo second with negligible interest in Spike or the Mexican kid. Charlo and BJS weren't included because they ain't available for that date.

My opinion? For about the 30th time Derevyanchenko 100% unless the fight is postponed until Saunders becomes available at which point I'd probably pick the unification. After those 2 it needs to be Charlo and after that Murata if the regular champ still is regular champ by then. Frankly they should tell Canelo and GBP to go fuck themselves, but I'm doubting that's how it's gonna go down.
