I'm wondering if they got some ****** sh^t in their deal thats preventing them from forgoing that fight in Sept or May if Canelo wants it & no one is sure if Canelo wants it or not quite yet.

But yea idk wtf Tommy L is doing if he's not trying t setup GGG vs BJS on May 5, June or f#cking July or whenever BJS's hand situation is good. Thats the clear NEXT FIGHT til this Canelo thing gets worked out. Idk why we talking Spike, Vanes or any randoms who got brought up since Canelo's issues. And if you wanna fight & BJS isn't fit then lets go Derevyanchencko or Jacobs II. Give us some good f#cking fights you peanut head mfers!!!

ok...great....i didnt mention it....not totally relevant as the MW title was not on the line....but floyd was a welterweight and a featherfisted one and he whitewashed canelo

my point about the CWs was that the "lineal" champ won it at a CW from a guy that won it at a CW agasint a guy everyone called a one legged cripple

these same guys call canelo lineal when they want to make him sound like a legit MW champ for golovins sake....but excused golovkin when he refused to negotiate on weight to fight canelo earlier

basically these guys are all proud to throw the lineal label on canelo when they want to prop golovkin up...but in reality theyve basically called the passing of that belt from martinez to cotto to canelo a "joke" in the past

Why can't you knuckleheads understand that boxing isn't about glory and pride?

It's about MONEY!! You fight to be seen by paying viewers. The more viewers you draw the more money you make. GGG vs Alvarez 2 was the big fight. No one can replace Alvarez. It might not set good with some goof nutt huggers here but that's how show business is

Understandable, sure, but letting your career be dictated by waiting on the whim of an another fighter is rarely gonna be a good idea.

Sure, Golovkin's thinking about his retirement fund, but honestly at this point I don't think there's better than a 50/50 chance of him ever getting the rematch. Might as well just move on.
You made some very good points here.

Of course it's about money but that fight may never happen. As someone else pointed out planning your career around the whims of another fighter is foolish.

Hey, you can't make people fight you who don't want to fight you.

Nobody wanted to fight GGG in his prime, that's not his fault.

                  Jacobs needed "tune up fights"

                  Canelo needed "tune up fights"

                  Cotto ducked him.

I love how guys bring up him not fighting a too big Andre Ward as if not fighting people outside of your weight division is somehow you ducking them.
Actually there was not much completion there when lil g was "in his prime" (don't know how that works when he ONLY fought 2 good opponents his WHOLE career then looks average at best in those 2 fights where his "prime" SUDDENLY just left like a miracle or something)

Nelo was NOT in his division & had ONLY 1 fight at 160 then beat lil g in his 2nd fight at 160.

Cotto aint no 160 pounder even if he fought there how many times???? The dude is TOO little.

When it was anyone from 154 to 168 can get it S.O.G. came in & send him an OFFICIAL OFFER that team lil g REJECTED. No way of dancing around that.

Nelo & Cotto were fighting IN HIS DIVISION.

                    Both were MIDDLEWEIGHT champs.

When was Andre Ward in the Middleweight division.
