There is nothing to understand but Wilder walking away from a 25 Million deal ,which apparently he doesnt think he can win otherwise he would take the fight and then make the termsin the rematch claus , right ? lol

you are being willfully ignorant if you're ignoring that parker made a 30-35% split and wilder will make a flat fee in the same ballpark, amounting to 10-15% split. you truly aren't fit to talk about boxing if you're willing to ignore that.

as for the rematch clause, there was a rematch clause if parker beat joshua. you'll find it if you google it.

I don't even think this fight make 50million dollars now. I know AJ is big over here but 100million in revenue? nah... deluded.
I believe the 50 Million only bc 2 undefeated HW's with a handful of belts on the line .

Either way Wilder not taking a 2 fight deal that can POTENTIALLY earn him over 35 Million IF he wins one of those fights is a clear duck .

Does this help clear it up?

Is this super duper mega fight really only making $40 million?

They should just give him same deal as Parker got tbh.

My point is that nobody can know who will be a star. New England saying the potential for Wilder to be a star given his qualities is a correct analysis...But hardly a guarantee. Most stars are a victim of circumstances. I used Floyd as an example, then Gatti. Its not about stardom its about fandom.

There was a rematch claus IF Joshua lost . So yea IF Parker WON .

That is not the same situation here bc Wilder is guaranteed a second fight if he loses .

In the case if he wins ,he then makes more money .

You are trying to sound smart , but sorry theres NOTHING smart walking away from a 2 fight deal with a POTENTIAL 35 PLUS Million prize that Wilder has a chance at , as opposed to fighting 12 fights or so to get to that mark.

The fight POTENTIALLY sees a 3rd fight should each win , right ? lol

On what planet do you walk away from that offer ?

People are failing to realise that the cable providers take half the PPV money and other costs.

or fight breazeale and make 2 mill while joshua might lose his belts to povetkin/fury and you get jack

Hell nawl. After US and UK PPV is tallied up and the hype machine gets rolling. It's THE fight to make in boxing right now.

Here is Hearn saying the Parker fight could generate up to 30 million. So it only generates 10 more mill than a fight with New Zealander nobody knew? FOH

Give me example of Vegas offering big money for US fighter recently, you can't because Vegas is not ****** to invest into something people don't care about, like boxers. Wake up.
You don't know how fights are promoted. Vegas is not a guy somewhere who says "I only put the best asses in my seats'" it is a place where a venue is booked when it has a certain capacity. There are many boxing tickets in Vegas, not just big fights and it is quite certain that Vegas would hold this event.

People from Europe go to Vegas to watch fights all the time you can look it up its common knowledge.

And what do you mean big money? When a big fight is to be made Vegas will be there...the heavyweight division has been crap lately. A wilder joshua fight could most certainly be made in Vegas.
