Russel Jr- also a good fighter many people thought was going to beat Lomachenko- Loma schooled him.

Marriaga who went to war with one of the best featherweights in the world, Valdez...Loma toyed with him and made him quit. Marriaga was also a solid fighter

Now he is facing the consensus #1 Lightweight in the world to become 3 division champ in 12 fights...

Protected? I'd go as far to say there's not been a fighter in history who's been less protected than lomachenko . Fought for a world title in his second fight and fought Walters rigondeaux and Russell Jr within 10 fights.

That can be said of lots of all time great fighters. I'm not the biggest Loma fan but it is hard to knock the guy at this point in his career. He is doing what we as fans should be hoping for.

Hope Linares will be as brave inside the ring as he is on ESPN Deportes. Then there is a chance that he’ll last couple of rounds beyond 6

His last few fights, a small Rigo moving up two weight divisions, a featherweight Mariaga coming off a clear loss to Oscar Valdez, a club fighter Jason Sosa who a few fights earlier was soundly beaten by Walters, who himself was coming off a huge layoff to fight Loma and hasn't fought since.

Outside of Gary Russell Jr. - he has a long list of real crappy wins.

i wouldn't call Russell a world beater either. He hadn't beaten anyone of note and was fighting TBAs. Even now his biggest win is against a shop worn Johnny Gonzales. But I agree, Loma has had an easy path to win belts and never beat the best champ in the division. Linares will be his best fight.
