    Poor Linares.

Now this fool gone get twice the beating!!

After a long career, it's going to be so humbling.

But he's a good boy. He'll come back in a far less lucrative way in a few years when he's up to fighting again.

he barely remember names of his sparring partners, let alone teammate's buddy that suggests what he shoulda coulda do. 1 time walked in gym, yeah I know Loma now dudes.

Protected? WTF?? Loma is literally one of the LEAST protected fighters out there? BY HIS OWN WILL - he challenges himself constantly. I'm sure if he wanted to, he would be protected by Arum, but he doesn't want to! He REFUSES to take the easy way..

He said when he started his career the reason he wanted all these tough fights so soon is because he didn't want to do the "typical blue-chip prospect career path" which is beat up a bunch of dudes way beneath him for 15-20 fights, and then cherry pick the easiest world title, take a few easy mandatories, and cherry pick the biggest money/least risk fights.

          And he's lived by that.

Why would he have turned pro earlier? I simply think you fundamentally fail to understand that the amateurs is more than just some kind of cheap sideshow. Kid worked all his life to become one of the best amateurs ever and reach the pinnacle of his chosen sport because that was his goal, not because he was somehow whiling away time building up the courage to do the 'real thing'.
