haha Wink virtually does nothing but press the action against power punchers and now he's a ***** because of the 12th round of this fight? Get ****ing real.

Winky did all those things in the 12th?

Props to Winky for doing just that againsta "bigger" man. But, he made a dumb choice to run in the 12th and run after the decision.

Your problem is that question is asserting that Winky has to do something to win the round. Winky was the one controlling the 12th round's pace, therefore even if not a single punch is thrown he'd get the nod if anybody. Winky landed more shots, JT had 1 or 2 flurries that were virtually entirely blocked, as opposed to Winky rather clearly landing jabs every so often and a couple of straight lefts.

He might've changed gears but he still won the round. You're clearly Lampley's illegitimate child to believe this bull **** that Taylor won the 12th convincingly somehow.

Not in the 12th, but I answered your Q about the 12th in another thread.

Anything that Winky did was better than what Taylor did (nothing).

WINKY WON this Boxing MATCH! I have been watching BOXING since I was a little boy. You really have to be a pure boxing fan to score this match. This is boxing not the UFC. Winky won the boxing match! PERIOD! He proved he could be stronger and box on the inside. Who was suppose to be the stronger man? Taylor? Nope Winky was! He was more technical WINKY Was. I think Talylor learned from Hopkins how to LUNG in with your head. However hopkins does it and makes it look good and his head never balloons up. Wright Won the boxing match! . It was a hard yes however if you look at the COMPUBOX it was shut out for Winky. Reason the HBO people likes Taylor is #1 HBO is a bussiness and Taylor is more marketable 2# he will go higher in weight 3# He is much younger and 4# he was trained by HBO employee Emanual Stewared. How would that have looked if Taylor would have lost? At a bussiness stand point they want Taylor to win. It reminds me of Larry Holmes in his 2nd fight agisnt Mike Spinks when he said
" I say this to the refs the promoters and the judges they can kiss where the sun dont shine and since were on HBO thats my big black BEHIND. !!" Thats what Winky basically said in a more professional manner after by saying I dont need a rematch. I know I won.
I saw it 8 rounds to 4 win for winky!

i am not sure there was much of a "pace" in the 12th. I'll watch the round again but i thougt Jermain landed 1 or 2 heavy punches in those 2 flurries and that negates the 3=4 jabs Wright may have landed.

don't patronize the knowledgeable fans on this sight. You know no more or less than anyone else here about "scoring a pure boxing match" based on this sole fight.

On the other hand, i useed to think Taylor was too mechanical and not a pure fighter, but he showed me something tonight. Also, his interview with Larry secured my belief that he is a good champ and a decent fellow.
Wright has seemed very vain in recent years and it has been a big turnoff. It's like he thinks he's the Puff Daddy of boxing.
you didn't see the count down? he does think hes puff
