I like Wright but the way he chose to fight the last round and his subsequent decision to leave the ring before the interview left me dissapointed in him. He was teh challenger, not the undisputed champ, like Taylor was. And, knowing that he was fighting in Taylors home area he should have known better that to coast in that last round.
On the other hand, i useed to think Taylor was too mechanical and not a pure fighter, but he showed me something tonight. Also, his interview with Larry secured my belief that he is a good champ and a decent fellow.
Wright has seemed very vain in recent years and it has been a big turnoff. It's like he thinks he's the Puff Daddy of boxing.

Wright just seems like a sore loser when he believes he wins I guess... It is a side of Wright that I don't like thats for sure.

Evry fighter has that inside of himself, its called pride. Wright did nothing to disgrace himself.

Wright as seemed very vain in recent years and it has been a big turnoff. It's like he thinks he's the Puff Daddy of boxing.
going by your logic, taylor ran the whole fight because wright was backing him up? If wright ran in the 12th, why didn't taylor run after him? Taylor was doing the same exact thing and both were defensive.

i'll say this, he truly thought he was ahead and winning the fight. now that was a mistake sure, but he didnt shame himself ,but he made a serious mistake by taking off the last round . obviously he should have known that the cards would be close and that he had to end with a flurry because the last round was so crucial. he just somehow thought he was cruising to this win. that could have to do with the amount of punches he blocked and he knew he was landing much cleaner on taylor. i agree with you about taylor BTW, i respect the guy. he showed some toughness tonight fighting with one eye in the last couple rounds

I've talked about this weeks before this fight. Wright feels under-appreciated and unloved by the boxing public and its officials. He's had to sc**** by all of his fights and he's finally gotten some big fights and this is hardly the way he wanted his streak to end.

The last two rounds is what killed the fight. If they both fought like they did like the other rounds this fight would have been fight of the year forsure.

Winky did run at the end though. How can Winky of all people do that, when he already lost to Vargas because of it and he saw what happened to Oscar. He is too much of a vet for that and his trainer was telling him to fight and win the rounds.

It wasnt just the 12th either. People gave him the 11th but I thought he ran in that one alot too. People wondered why Taylor couldnt hit him but it was because Winky ran at the end and thats a bad ending to a super fight

Yeah but Taylor only had one eye by then so it was hard for him. Also, he did run after him a couple of times but Winky always ran back and put his hands up.

Look, it was a great fight and Winky did well but dont compare what Winky did to what Taylor did the whole fight. How can Taylor be running when it was so much action involved? In 90% of boxing matches theres a guy who's coming forward and then theres the counter puncher. Just because your countering doesnt mean your running
