Thanks! I remember that Charlo had to fight two mandatories when he won the vacant belt but I didn't know all the details. Not for 'some reason', its because Andrade, as usual, ducked Charlo.
When Charlo became champ if you remember Andrade at the time was fighting Nelson. The wbc ordered that Hatley would be Charlo's mandatory and the Winner of Andrade vs Nelson would be Charlo's second mandatory (winner of vacant belt rule, two mandatories in a row to legitimise the belt).
Andrade beat Nelson and became Mandatory to Charlo.
Then some months later Andrade decides to fight for the WBA regular belt against Culcay, and loses his mandatory spot for the wbc belt (an obvious duck coz he literally could have easily asked the wbc for a stay busy fight).
He beats Culcay and as regular champion, he becomes mandatory to the super champion Lara. However, just as the WBA announces that it is going to order Lara vs Andrade, Andrade decides to move up to 160 to fight Foxy.
Anyway long story short, Andrade's cowardly ways are the reason Charlo ended up with Lubin.Comment

I'm with you on that. Scales dont lie! I was just on another website and this assclown was saying Pednelo should be fighting HW and bashing the sht out of him. Then later on in the comment section he was saying he dint give a sht if Hurd weighed 250lbs fighting at 154? Those types I cant stand. The delusional hypocritesScale don't lie! He definitely looked WAY bigger than Lara! I just hate the term "weight-cheat." If a guy wants to drain himself, I don't see it as an advantage. It damn sure didn't work for Brook vs. Spence Jr.! Eventually, it will catch up with the fighter draining himself (See Chavez Jr.). Right now, Hurd has more stamina, and more will power in Rounds 9-12, and that's why he's winning!Comment

Wasn't Lubin the betting favorite in that fight? Many people were very high on Lubin going in to that scrap. I thought he'd lose but obviously not the way he did.I don't know of anyone that had Lubin as the favorite. He shouldn't have been. If anything, it was a surprise he stopped him in the first round but it's no surprise he won. Lubin was a prospect who had not beat anyone. Jermell was a seasoned fighter with good wins on his resume. This seems like revisionist history to me. A win over Lubin is nothing compared to Lara but Charlo did have comparable wins on his resume from earlier.Comment

Charlo wins this one he hits a lot harder than Lara and Hurd can’t beat him on pressure. It will be an entertaining fight because Charlo will punch all night.Comment

I don't remember him being the favorite but like I said, he shouldn't have been. I know a lot of people were high on him but he hadn't accomplish anything. Charlo already had some quality wins on his resume.Comment

And the one thing those twins do really well is throw sharp/tight punches at close quarters regardless of the momentum in the fight. Few fighters have the focus and resiliency they've showed in some tough situations. I've seen both come back to win fights where they were being beaten off pure will and discipline.
It's a very intriguing scrap no doubt. I think Charlo takes it, but if Hurd won I wouldn't be shocked.Comment
I knew it was only a matter of time before Turd would be Golovkin's next boogeyman. NOTE- I have nothing against Hurd, I just think his name is too close to Turd not to call him that.
