Wow. Quite the card. I would love that. Sadly, nowadays it seems matchups and rematches like that are the stuff of dreams. I give a lot of respect to Wilder for taking on Ortiz. He’s proven himself. If Deontay grants a rematch, it’s a bonus. I wonder if Hurd would be motivated to grant Lara a rematch.

Maybe Lara could fight JRock or Soro next?

That is what I say. You see that they have it in them and they are possible to give you a great fight.

I was waiting on him to Angulo somebody.

Hurd broke him. Lara was lucky to survive and would be KOd in a rematch.

We get it you think GGG is the best MW/P4Per of ALL time... We also get you gave GGG all 24 rounds against both Jacob's and Pednelo. Groupies like you have their heads soo far up their ass you cant even he realistic and unbiased for 1 second..
Sorry, but what does Hurd having a better professional resume than GGG at 27 (which Hurd does professionally, but GGG turned pro at 23, and when you factor in amateur accolades GGG has a much better resume at age 27) have anything to do with him being on the same level as GGG now?

And GGG is in the convo as best MW of all time, title defenses and the authority with which he has won basically all of his fights tell us that much. You could make an argument that GGG hasn't faced enough other Hall of Famers in his career. But it's not just who you face, but when you face them. And as a comparison, who did Hagler really beat?

Leonard beat him cleanly (yes I've watched the fight, have you?), a smaller old Duran almost beat him, and he had the great victory against Hearns, and a great victory against Mugabe. And Hagler has a couple legitimate other losses on his record besides Leonard as well.

If you all say that GGG's resume is not good, what do you say about the rest of Hagler's? Lol, look at footage of some of those guys he fought man. It's comical. At least 25 or so of GGG's opponents are legit professional boxers. Can't say the same for Marvelous.

And the punch stats told me GGG won 9 of 11 rounds against Jacobs and 10 of 11 against Canelo. But I personally had each fight at 8-4 for GGG, good fights but with a clear winner in each.

I was rooting for Lara, but Hurd's sheer size and strength enabled him to bully Lara. I was hoping Lara would box accurately and skillfully like he did in the first round for the whole fight. By the fourth he was looking tired though, he wasn't boxing like he did early on, and he was fighting on the inside way too much, where there was only one winner.
Lara still fought well, but Hurd's pressure was clearly wearing him down. I had Hurd winning by a round or two.

He’s 34 now. Without a belt, he’s gonna have to get busy. Those prime earning years are slipping away.
