    Good riddance
Had Hurd fought his fight from the beginning, he would of ko’d Lara
I guarantee you if there is a rematch Hurd knocks him out by the seventh round
All these technical fighters ( slicksters or whatever you wanna call them ) don’t stand a chance against a fighter who has stamina and a bit of power and loves to keep the pressure on
Imo Cuban and Russian fighters, who are technically sound fighters and who thrive on hit and not be hit cannot fight going backwards
Good for the amateurs but not the pros

Being inactive and slowing down hurt Lara.

Because of these factors I had picked Hurd to win by stoppage.

As Lara gets older he will continue to slow down and be more suceptible to pressure

If they had a rematch clause in the contract Lara can activate it.
Hurd will beat him convincingly next time.

            Huh????

Lara has lost his mind or joined the school of Marquez whinging, dunno which one.

Lara won the first 2 rounds, the next couple were up for debate (I gave them to Hurd) and then everything that followed till the 10th was Hurd. The guy got beat up in there and even though he rallied in the 10th and 11th, it was too little, too late. The KD in the 12th made matters worse.

But he won pretty much all the first half, I mean, it's a close fight, but I'm glad Hurd got the nod, he's just getting better.

Yeah, I thought he did better than the Trout fight, Lara was a harder, sharper opponent than AT.

I can't believe there's no troll here that's talking about the same guy that beat Canelo (in most ring expert's eyes--not my words). Crazy how skills catch up for some boxers and dissipate for others in the same time frame.

Thats the thing with these Cuban guys & Lara specifically. While they are high level talents I think they have lil moment by moment, round by round game plan or ability to understand whats winning a round for them or losing a round for them. So all else being equal & them usually winning they always say some sh^t like this it seems like that sounds arrogant + out of touch with what most cats saw & how the fight went down.

How can that be unless you don't really grasp whats winning a round or whats happening in the round? Or I do suppose there is the argument that in a more competitive, more action fight its harder to dissect how a fight is going as easily either.

Either way idk wtf Lara was watching this time or other times I've seen him say similar sh^t.

Lara has always been slick, but never Mayweather or Pernell Whitaker level of slickness. Hurd is a very good big fighter, although not the best and very beatable.

Yeah I saw that too. That was way too much time. Ref ran the clock down for no reason.
