    Was this ever scientifically proven?

I don't know if it's been proven in a study or not, but medically it is sound.

I've been saying that just because there are too many divisions in boxing lol.

I'd say go back to the original 8, but also throw Crusierweight in there so you don't have 178lb fighters going against Tyson ****ing Fury.

I don't think so. Here is a link to an article that gives some of the background as to why it was changed. There are thoughtfull articles on both sides if you do a search.. One thing for sure the longer a boxer fights the greater the chances of permanent brain damage.

The body is 80% water, Some guys are cutting 20+lbs of water 24 hours before a fight, By sweating it out in saunas, hot baths and from treadmills etc, They are dehydrated as **** at the weigh in, but with modern electrolyte drinks and they can re hydrate very fast.

The problem is the more muscle you have the easier it is to cut water weight. So more muscular guys get an advantage.

Same day weigh ins just means some guys will push things to even more extremes by risking their health from inadequate time to re hydrate safely, The only way to do it is to have a hydration test.

The IBF used to allow 10 pounds of rehydration. That seemed like a good compromise but they dropped it for unification bouts after the Jacobs Golovkin fight.

Those weights are lies. Lara normally weights 170. I explained it to you I think in other thread.

Why would great match ups not happen?

And are we seeing a lot of great match ups anyway?
