I agree that Angulo had to take punishment from Lara to get close enough to drop him twice. Probably why Canelo couldn't do the same thing. He would have had to take more shots and didn't want a hematoma on his head. But GGG is levels ahead of Angulo. And it would be Lara's first fight at 160. Just a tough test for Lara.
And I don't know about eked out a decision. Jacobs fought a good fight and survived. But he did lose the punch stats in 9 out of 11 round (1 tie). Got dropped once and hurt multiple times. Never hurt or dropped GGG. And GGG was champion; Jacobs should have to do a LOT more to take the belts imo.
And Lara can move better than Jacobs and probably box a little better. But he can't hit nearly as hard. Without being able to keep GGG off of him it may end up somewhat like Brook/GGG?
And I really like Lara, I do think he would be a problem for anyone around his weight. But my point was that saying 'he is the one' to beat GGG and GGG is avoiding him is just strange to me. He is a weight class below and has never truly taken steps to take that fight. But I actually would like to see it.
