Nothing but a bunch of spoiled brat Brits who swear AJ is the greatest thing that ever walked on Britian soil, we the fans just want to find out if this dude is the real deal and fight somebody that is legit and a threat, Wilder, Ortiz, Pultzen, Baby Miller. You made me read the entire article to see what the heck you were talking about just to find out you're the one that's off. There is nothing scientific about the percentages. No sh%t! He actually said Wladimir was technical and Vitali was unorthodox.

No I didn’t get it wrong, my point was that Vitali is actually more technically perfect than Wlad and by far the better boxer. He was more creative (I wouldn’t call it unorthodox cos he fought out of a classic Euro stance) but it was off a very technical foundation, any comparison for either boxer to Wilder is ridiculous anyway.


Unorthodox gets used way to often incorrectly btw, since Southpaw and Orthodox are the only two classic styles labelled and anything is considered unorthodox, someone like Prince Naseem for instance, but I’m not going to knock the guy for that, we know what he meant.

Couldn’t a agree more, Wilder has just one credible opponent on his record (and even that one is debatable since Ortiz had also never fought too

Well he fought with his hands down quite a bit so there's nothing technical about that.

I don't know if he was necessarily comparing him with Wilder. I thinks he was trying to say you don't have to be technical to be a good boxer. Wilder gets knocked for his "windmill" punches when he's going in for the kill but he also has a good foundation and a lot of power that has carried him so far. You don't beat Stiverne (the first fight) and Ortiz without having a good foundation.

He talks up Wladimir for being unorthodox and less technical when Vitali is widely regarded as the better boxer. Weird comparison to make with your own boxer.

I don't know if Vitali is widely regarded as the better boxer but I personally think he's the better boxer. I can't say he's better technically than Vladimir but he is more technical than Wilder and a lot of HWs in the past 10 years. He doesn't have one punch power like Wilder but his jabs were powerful and caused a lot of damage.
