Sure Oscar... How many actual stars has he produced? Other than Canelo his other fighters aren't doing much better than Wilder or AJ. Linares has been with GB for years, and Oscar didn't do much to grow his profile. Linares does 2k at the Great Western Forum for his fights in the states. Same thing with Mathysse. Oscar talks about ratings but his fighters aren't top draws even though he's been promoting them for years. Without Canelo, Oscar doesn't have but fighters who pretty much aren't bringing in money for him.

Oscar is getting desperate. He's on a sinking ship. He has 2 names and linares os probably going to lose to Loma and Canelo's reputation and fan support is taking a hit. No chance wilder or aj ever entertain going over to golden boy.

Anthony Joshua does not need Oscar de la Hoya. Period. Eddie Hearns has done a great job with him.

However I can't say the same at all about Wilder. In the history of boxing I don't there has ever been an American Heavyweight Champion who is as least celebrated as Wilder. Tyson, Bowe, Holyfield were established Heavyweight box office attractions and Wilder isn't even close to that.

Wilder should be fighting in Vegas and has yet to since he parted from Golden Boy when he won his belt 4 years ago.

The biggest problem with Golden Boy is there just entirely too young. 90% of there 50 plus fighters are 15-0 and are less than 23. On top of that they don't invest in heavier divisions outside of Middleweight. They literally have 2 in Slava and Ballard.

Do I think Wilder and others could do better with Golden Boy? Yes. But Oscar needs to concentrate on riding the ship until Canelo gets cleared and try to get one or two more title holders and not have any of his guys lose prior.

These twitter wars doesn't help his cause. Just when you thought that was getting better his impulse controls goes nuts.

LMAO rematch like GGG vs Canelo right... Goldenboy WAS number 1! and HBO was also... but it seems like Showtime and Espn are killing the boxing game along with all the promoters who promote there fights on showtime, showtime has fights lined up each month of this year.
