Some say it's because boxing in America is a fringe sport while its red hot in the U.K.

But wasn't Wilder signed to GBP early in his career? They didn't do sht for him then.

AJ financially doesn't have to make any moves. Wilder does though but I'm not sure Oscar is the answer. He's gonna try to market him as a black Mexican and have him walking to the ring in a sombrero. Boxing in the U.S. is all about the Mexican fanbase. nothing else matters.
Promoters these days don’t know got to tap into the American Male psyche.
They got to go out and recruit more talent and put on more free fights on regular TV.
But they’re to greedy and don’t have any interest in the sport outside of profiting from a few shows.
Boxing needs a “ufc” like organization.

ODLH is sounding more thristy than a tennis shoe chasing chick.
He has to know his actions don't rattle Hearn, LDL, and/or Haymon.
He need to fix that there meat issue with his cash cow. If they suspend Canelo for a year, I think ODLH might be out a few hundred million or better.

Sound like TR is the best because 2 of those cards they will be lead promoter on. And out of that list only 1 fight has a bonafide star on it

However I can't say the same at all about Wilder. In the history of boxing I don't there has ever been an American Heavyweight Champion who is as least celebrated as Wilder. Tyson, Bowe, Holyfield were established Heavyweight box office attractions and Wilder isn't even close to that.

Wilder should be fighting in Vegas and has yet to since he parted from Golden Boy when he won his belt 4 years ago.

The biggest problem with Golden Boy is there just entirely too young. 90% of there 50 plus fighters are 15-0 and are less than 23. On top of that they don't invest in heavier divisions outside of Middleweight. They literally have 2 in Slava and Ballard.

Do I think Wilder and others could do better with Golden Boy? Yes. But Oscar needs to concentrate on riding the ship until Canelo gets cleared and try to get one or two more title holders and not have any of his guys lose prior.

These twitter wars doesn't help his cause. Just when you thought that was getting better his impulse controls goes nuts.
The reason he isn't as celebrated is because he handles his own business like Floyd did meanwhile Joshua lets his white promoter run his affairs. Besides we really don't know how "well" Joshua is doing because we are not privy to the cut his slimy promoter gets.

Guess what though...they can run but they can't hide and when the pressure forces the fight then Wilder is going to knock Joshua out and start to make some real money. So let them wankers across the pond try to play keep away with those belts..when the Americans get the belt back..no heavyweight in the UK will sniff it again for the next 10-20 years. Count on that.
