No way the head of the NSAC, who is a political appointee put in place by the governor, is going to suspend Canelo for a year and potentially cause all that revenue to either be lost or go somewhere else.

They're going to retroactively suspend him six months from the time of the failed test, which allows him to fight in Sept.

Meanwhile, Golovkin's already had a training camp and wants to fight, so they're fighting a cherry to stay busy but not put the Canelo fight in jeopardy.
Any sources for that, Paul? Did GGG or his team say that? I must've missed it. I don't think GGG will ever see Canelo in the ring again, EVER! Canelo won't do him any favors.

I think this is another excuse to justify fighting subpar opponents (not from you), but many of his fans keep saying this. Canelo may be suspended for a couple of years.

Why is this guy always full of excuses?

No. And when he did fight guys with a pulse they went 12 rounds and were very close.

I had him winning both 7-5 but can easily see both as draws or even 7-5 the other way.

I didn't care for the Spike fight but I understood it is what it is.
That makes too much freaking sense!!! I've never even seen either guy fight?? I looked up Manguia and it shows he did have a couple fights at MW??? But they list him only as a S. WW???

GGG should just fight BOTH Spike and Manguia at the same time or have them switch every other round. Now that I would approve and probably buy.

His weight class he'll settle into is SWW. Prospects always fight a couple lbs above their weight class. Like Wade, he had never fought at MW he always fought a cpl lbs above. But his weight class was MW.

Copy that. When this PPV fight tanks its gonna be hard to get PPV fights again. Saunders and Canelo will probably use those numbers during negotiations in the future and low ball ggg.

This is how it always is with GGG. You have to pick from the best of the worst opponents available. Maybe they are doing this to feel the fans and see if they would accept Spike instead of this kid.

Sadly, some fans on here have already started saying S***** is now a better choice. Mission accomplished. The MO for GGG's career in a nutshell.

Why not just retire and take your shameful drama show with you.

True. I won't go out of my way to watch it, but I watch almost any boxing, every weekend. If I miss it, that's totally fine, too.
