Another **** matchup. WTF!!! Andrade would be the fight Id like to see. Charlo and the rest dont seem to have any interest in fighting GGG although they would all get better paychecks for it than the guys they are scheduled to fight. Charlo the biggest disappointment the way I see it as he should b the most prepared at this time.
And if this is still to be a ppv bout, who do they have planned for the undercard fights!!?!?! Hope they are good because this opponent sellection for GGG sucks if they indeed pick this kid as Canelos replacement.

Also - there's still another month until the fight. 2 months break is not that much. Not all that long ago Toney defended his middleweight belt 6 weeks after winning it.
Fair. Each fighter is different, so I figured him going 6 rounds a month ago might be a bit much considering he only went 17 rounds in 2017 and only 10 rounds in 2016. But I didn't see the fight, so I don't know how many shots he took.

Damn not excited for this one. I love Boxing, and i am a big fan of GGG, but the only Mexican that would have made the ppv worth the price not named Canelo, is Ramirez for the 168 title. Risky, and would have made GGG look like he really wanted to make up for the people not having the big fight they expected. Im not excited for this one, and will not purchase, but I ll most likely hit up a bar to see it, or mooch off a friends ppv lol

Fat Dan was on Chris Mannix's show this morning and said he's been watching this kid for a while and he's one of Dan's top prospects, but still thinks it would be an absurd fight as the kid is nowhere near ready.

They also said the reason this is going to PPV is that HBO simply isn't paying for fights, and that it's not K2's preference at all to charge the fans for a PPV but HBO isn't willing a decent amount for any fight regardless of the opponent.

Remember it was Canelo that was taking the fall for the fight not being made and being accused of ducking. So why didn't G just continue with his career and chase Canelo like a little puppy, and have his career stall?

Shit or get off the pot.

Brook was almost as big as him, Muguia will probably be about the same size as GGG too. It's better than Spike anyway who has ZERO top traits.

No it's not a better fight than Spike. The kid is 21 years old, just barely turned 21 in October. He was just at 147 and is new to 154 and now is jumping up to 160 to fight GGG.

I'm sure this kid has promise and a good future at 154.

But at his very young age, inexperience and not being big enough, this fight would be a crime if NSAC approves this. And what a joke putting this on PPV......SMH.

They should have just went with Spike on regular HBO and then focus on Canelo or Saunders in September.

Meh, i’m not mad. Can’t expect to get a top opponent on short notice, I can understand them being insistent on fighting that date purely because he hasn’t been anywhere near as active as he used to be.

Munguia's team clearly doesn't care much for him and don't see the upside. They're cashing out with him.

smh, this is such a bad choice.

I get that, so why not cancel and postpone? Why force it?
