Comments Thread For: Johnny Nelson: Wilder Dropped Ball, Should Have Been in Cardiff

Anthony Joshua is a man in a hurry as he looks to unify the heavyweight division. He needed to get through the longest fight of his career to collect the third of the big four belts, though. The British fighter was taken the distance for the first time in his professional career against Joseph Parker on Saturday, beating the previously undefeated New Zealander in a unanimous decision in front of 78,000 fans in Cardiff.

Why did he need to be in Cardiff? Never in my life have I heard a stipulation of attending a potential opponent fight to make a fight before this dumb ****

Would have accomplished nothing, except maybe given Whyte something to do

Because he agreed to a deal with SKY to where he be paid to commentate. He didn't honour it because he was afraid of Whyte. What a coward.

They clearly weren't going to let him into the ring afterwards, and Hearn would have just used the opportunity to push Dillian Shyte on him.

Wilder did the right thing by not going.

                .

what a fkn ****** comment from Nelson

directing this question at Hearn/Joshua..... why did you refuse to allow Wilder into the ring, making his trip pointless?..... would be far more accurate/helpful

why the fk would Wilder waste 5k on that ?

His flight and hotel were paid for and he was on wages from Sky. What 5K ????

They organised his own press conference (confirmed by Sky) and he would have had full match commentary ringside to reach millions of ppv boxing customers he normally wouldn't reach. This was all confirmed by Sky television.

                    How is that pointless ??

The only debate was that he MIGHT not get into the ring because he was demanding not asking. He'd be 2 meters away at worst with a microphone. When the situation was reversed for the Ortiz fight his security kept Big Baby Miller out of the ring! Miller got nothing.

Now Wilder trolls go reinvent reality your just wrong he really messed up.
