Well, crap. I am in the camp that has always picked AJ to beat Wilder. But if that lackluster effort is what he brings, Wilder will win just on pure desire. I still lean Joshua, but comparing the last 2 fights and the last two opponents I could blame no one who picks Wilder.Comment

I'm not an AJ fan, I was hoping Parker would beat him, but why not?
Wilder is trash. He was easily getting outboxed by Ortiz before he knocked the old man down in the fifth. Then again up until when he won by KO. He obviously has power, but he's not a good boxer at all. AJ is slightly better, although they both benefit hugely from fighting in a very average era.Comment

Wilder runs in hands down, constantly on the verge of being chinned but his punch is a fight finisher.
Going off the buzz of each guy's last fight, Wilder was a winner off the back of Joshua's fight, so in excitement terms Wilder should take it.
I stick with my original thoughts of two flawed guys who can punch is 50/50, but off the back of Wilder stopping Ortiz he's got to take an extra point or two giving him a tenuous edge.Comment

He's never fought an undefeated young world title holder. He's best opponent was an older man with high blood pressure. He's beaten no one any good. Fact.Comment

I'm British but I would like to see Wilder beat Joshua as Wilder is not a fraud.
Hopefully Joshua will not hide away in the UK with the judges and the ref in Eddie's pocket.Comment

Was a boring fight dam ref ruined it but easy win for joshua before years out be undisputed just beaten the best of the rest only easy fights ahead (wilder)Comment

The only way Joshua vs Wilder happens next if Joshua forces it to happen with Hearn by putting his foot down. And you'd think he would.
Thing is Wilder is wild & awkward so he's gonna cause problems for Joshua who's more textbook then again Wilder is so wild & awkward he can get beat to lol. So I think Hearn just wants Wilder to get beat by one of these more ho hum mfers & then they'll lift the title off that dude.
Its funny how boxing works like that. Wilder might be the biggest threat to beat Joshua, but Wilder could lose to a lot of lesser guys.
Hell I think Povetkin gots a solid shot at beating Joshua too.
This whole unification thing could EASILY get effed up. Hearn only cares about money doe so money is where he's gonna steer Joshua. If Joshua listens is the only question. And hell if I was Joshua I might go the money route myself over legacy & fighting the biggest threat to him in the division.Comment

Joshua and Parker just showed how really weak the heavyweight division is. To think Joshua is a world beater is laughable. I now understand why they are avoiding Wilder. If the Joshua that just fought parker had fought Wilder he's still be laying flat in the ringComment
