Anthony Joshua didn't look great, but I'm surprised a lot of people are changing their opinions on AJ-Wilder fight.
To me Wilder still has the same chances he did before this fight.

Joshua may not be the greatest boxer, but he still a better boxer than Wilder. Wilder has been outboxed by lesser boxers than Joshua.

The Heavyweight division gets overrated though.

As for he's chin, ask Sconiers who the only name heavyweight he ever knocked down was.
LOL!@ Yeah!! Ortiz was such an old guy that Joshua avoided him like the plague. Ortiz would easily have knocked out Parker and would have been even money adainst the lurching giant name Joshua. All this talk about how bad Wilder is but Joshua is smart enough to talk a lot of crap from far away and knows it will be the beginning of the end when they are forced to meet in the ring

Getting scary now. Who can Joshua fight next in order to keep avoiding Wilder. Maybe try and talk Klitchko back out of retirement or maybe some other stiff. Wow! is the heavyweight division soft and weak when a stiff like Joshua can hold the title and avoid and real challenges for so long. What a stiff

Ortiz never beat anyone as good as Parker either. Jennings couldn't pick through a paper bag. That old fella who labourer with Malik Scott ain't beating no top fighter. Not he's fault entirely, since he had high blood pressure and no cardio. Unless you subscribe to the theory he was a drug cheat. Put Ortiz in perspective. He didn't have power, and he didn't have stamina. And let's face it, even he had Deontay so rocky the doctor had to delay a round to look at Wilder. That's the best guy Wilders fought yet. And I don't blame them since Wilders chin is seriously suspect. Sconiers didn't knock down anyone else, and Molina didn't even touch AJ.

So what will be the difference in this fight vs Joshua/Wilder? The biggest is, Wilder isn't as speedy, and certainly doesn't have the defense Parker exhibited. Yes, he punches harder, but that's only one aspect of the sport. I give Joshua an excellent chance to at least UD Wilder, if not spark him out.

Now, if Diva Wilder will just accept a B-side paycheck and get busy, maybe both can do one fight before they clash within a year tops. Maybe Joshua fight Povetkin and Wilder give Ortiz a rematch. Or go with Big Baby Miller.

A boxing fan can hope, can't he?

            LOL

Both AJ and Deontay have been rocked/dropped by older men. Good debate though sir. Respect to you too.

You outed yourself but i just knew you had to be a dumb yank. Complain about him fighting nobodies when he is 40 plus fights like beyonce.

I gave JP the 5th,6th & 7th, but AJ won all the rest of the rounds in a dominant but underwhelming performance. Never had JP in trouble, although he pressed the action for most of the fight, mainly won on size, stature & condition, faded a little late in the bout but kept JP on the back foot to win rounds.

My view is that the main weakness was Parker's strategy, there was no way he was going to be able to pot shot from outside with AJ, he's fast but not that much faster than AJ and the reach made the difference. If he would have been able to get inside and work the body, *early*, maybe then he could have landed more of his power shots, cause the few JP landed, stunned AJ momentarily. He put up a good fight but size was the big factor.
