I'm a big fan of Thurman saying that his comeback fight has to be his mandatory. I agree his fight in May needed to be a warm up to test his elbow from the operation but with this injury his lost the window for that. A 100% Thurman is the best in the division but he seems to have lost the hunger and if he has he needs to retire, without the hunger his not going to achieve his legacy.

Fifteen months is not that long to be out of boxing. So it shouldn't be too bad. Besides, six weeks is not a whole lot of time to recover. His body could probably use the extra rest anyhow. Keith should be just fine. However, beginning in late 2018 and 2019, he is going to have to go through a very difficult stretch with the likes of Shawn Porter and Erroll Spence, Jr. Also, Danny Garcia.

He needs to vacate until his body quits falling apart. His neck, his elbow, his hand and WHAT'S NEXT is his ponytail going to fall out and force him to retire!!
