I lean towards Corrales-Castillo by a tiny margin, even though I didn't like the ending.
Corrales made one of the most epic comebacks, but it's kind of tainted considering he spit out his mouthpiece twice to catch a breather, Castillo was on his way to finishing him off.
Originally posted by Santa_ View PostBoth great fights. Tony Weeks killed the first Corrales/Castillo fight though. Frank Cappuccino wouldn't have stopped the action after the intentional spitting out of the mouthpiece by Corrales.
Weeks bailed Corrales out.
Weeks did take a point away from Corrales, but he screwed Castillo snd prevented him from finishing Corrales. Great fight though.

on knockdowns, doe....gotta get the mouthpiece in.
same when tape is coming off. gotta call time.
as for the 2nd one....both guys caught a breather. since chico was clear headed and responsive, i dont think jlc would have finished him if he had those 10 seconds back.
people shouldnt let extra time automatically lead them to think the guy was saved.

Still dig the Sean though. Loved hearing him and then Al yelling "Oh!" as only an Albert can do, whenever anybody got hit big.

Chico was hurt bad, a few more solid shots in 10 seconds may or may not have finished him.
We'll never know for sure if Chico would or would not have been saved or finished, but the fact that a lot of people are asking that question tells me there's doubt with the outcome and it was the wrong call by the ref.
Dramatic and exciting win nonetheless.
