Yeah that trilogy was kind of all over the place. I had Morales nicking the second and third fight and losing the first one by a couple points.

I go back and forth on a draw for the third fight.

Yeah I agree. I couldn't see how Morales got the first fight since it was close and they counted the knockdown in the last round. I mean, it clearly was NOT a KD but I thought that meant a 10-8 round but he pulled it out anyway. Strange.

I'll take Gatti-Ward I but a slim margin. That ninth round was incredible. The tenth round of Corrales-Castillo is very close. Corrales was all but done and then out of nowhere, he came up with a miracle. I just thought Gatti-Ward I had more dramatic moments throughout, but I'll leave it up to you guys...
for me and on every level, theres no better fight than chico vs jlc. not only were they very skilled, they fought as if their lives depended on it. its a joy to see fighters at their level fight like that.

gatti ward is a more controlled version of foreman lyle

pure rock em sock em, doe

they were extremely exciting due to their flaws. pound for pound, cant deny g vs w 1 was a force of wills.

imho, neither ward nor gatti would have stood a chance vs chico or jlc

          my tops (in order) -
chico vs jlc 1 (best fight, best rd, best comeback)
          srl vs hearns 1
          holy qawi 1
          gatti ward 1
          holy vs bowe 1
          mab vs erik 1
          hagler hearns
          foreman lyle
          tua ike
          sergio paul w 1
          mab mck
          dlh ike
          vic berto 1
          benn gman ( )

          honorable mentions -
castro jdj 1 (top 3 comeback fight)
jmm pac 1 and nite nite
tyson berbick....10 kds off of 1 punch, doe
          holy tyson bite fight
          holy rahman forehead fight
          mab erik 2,3
          holy bowe 2,3
          golota bowe 1,2
          marquez vazquez 1-3
          jcc taylor

im sure there are some old timey fights that belong. just that so many of them are sloppy AF.

Chico vs Castillo.Better fighters were fighting in a big fight WBO,WBC, Ring magazine Lightweight titles were on the line.Fight was back and forth inside a phone booth and the dramatic comeback to win.

Castillo landed just one more punch overall – 400-399 – and both men’s accuracy was off the charts as Castillo led 56%-52% overall, 38%-35% jabs and 60%-54% in power shots. The typical lightweight lands 13.6 power shots per round but Corrales and Castillo nearly tripled that by landing 38 and 36.6 power punches per round, respectively.

To this day best fight I ever saw .

Yeah, Franklin had a very sad ending, but you know. It's boxing. Lots of sad endings. Then again, when you consider most people, their endings are pretty sad. The only happy ending is at the Chinese massage parlor.
