I'd like that to be a thing in the UK. I don't really consider myself a fan of any boxer. I quite like George Groves but if he loses I don't give s.hit.

But over here boxing is very much about regional or national allegiances. But the profile is shifting a bit.

It’s probaly because those fighters haven’t really caught up yet. Guys like you prematurely elevate them and then can’t understand why some people get mad.

For example, To have to read GGG and Loma are On the same level as Hagler and Floyd gets aggravating and may cause posters to respond.

Loma hasn't been a pro long enough or had enough pro fights to get anywhere near Floyd's level.

I don't see any reason why GGG shouldn't be compared to Hagler though, given what he's achieved so far at MW.

Yeah, Hagler was undisputed and lineal champion, but he didn't have the multiple titles and political bull**** that GGG has had to contend with during his era.

And Hagler was able to build his career by working his way up the ladder in his own country. He didn't have to base himself in a foreign country, then move again to yet another country in his 30s to get the chances his talent deserved, the way Golovkin did.

I'm a big fan of Hagler, so that's no disrespect to him. I just happen to rate GGG very highly too.

weve seen years and years of irrational abuse against golovkin (one of the most mild mannered fighters in the sport), purely because hes a good fighter not from america. Now lomachenkos the guy with a target on his back, again, because hes from europe. Even though hes fighting world class fighters before hes even reached his 10th fight, hes hated.

its not all of you but when i look at the hate filled bull**** against these fighters, its always the same type of american posters.
