None are strong hands currently - the strong one will evolve from the fights this year.
Mmmm ... there's 41 year old men, and there's this 41 year old man:

the guy had developed a wider skillset by 41 than his title jabngrab/getting poleaxedbynobodies years, but he was essentially, a 41 year old man, geared to gass out well inside 10 and no longer capable of managing the championship rounds. he shouldnt have been fighting for the title during years when the HW scene is busy.

the only caveat is that the rest of the competition is so weak that facing a 41 year old becomes justified for a title fight.

Perhaps legacy adds some weight since Wlad was the last to go out and unify (eventually, though having to defend more than 1 title was his downfall).

He's right. Wlad was no longer a champ. It wasn't a unification fight.

Still though, AJ IS fighting a unification fight this weekend and Wilder has his sights set on Adam Kownacki.

Wlad KO'd Wilder twice in sparring, that's been verified by several people who saw it happen.
WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder (33-0, 32KOs) is still very much a work in progress, says his co-manager Shelly Finkel. After last Saturday's world titl

“Look, (Wilder) is a baby winning the title. It was his first title fight, they'll be a time for unification, they'll be a time for all those things, he could go and fight Povetkin (the No. 2 contender) in Russia and make $10 million,” Finkel said... (back in Jan 25, 2015

Again the definition suggests we need two champions fighting to unify. Klitschko was highly respected still, but he was no champion.

This is simple. I don't think a ABC Group can change a long held definition of a word.

A unification bout is when more than ONE title is on the line .

BOTH Klitchko and Joshua were fighting for the IBO and WBA titles that were vacant .

So even IF Joshua didnt have the IBF belt it would STILL be a UNIFICATION bout.

And do you know how you can find out ? Its called google if this is so hard to believe that will explain it for you , right where it STATES the Klitchko vs Joshua fight WAS a UNIFICATION match.
