Hearn saying that financials for an AJ fight have to be hammered out before a Whyte->Joshua rider is added to a Whyte contract is his desire. Its not a requirement per se. All that really does is provide him with an out to making the Wilder Joshua fight while saving face with UK fans who want to blame Team Wilder for Wilder Joshua not happening.

Hearn is desperately trying to control the narrative. What we haven't seen are the actions that lead to negotiations and fights being made. He's not saying, let's talk. He's not actually negotiating, which is what get fights made. Finkel said he hadn't heard from Hearn since November. How do you not discuss making a collossal money making fight? Even if you think the first ask is ridiculous, you at least check to make sure there isn't room to negotiate.

AJ cares about making big checks. He doesn't care about the belt so much as the check behind getting it and showcasing it. That's why he says he wants to be more Mayweather than Tyson. Tyson was considered the baddest man on the planet. Mayweather was the highest paid.

Well.. Hearn literally said in interviews today that Joshua won't be fighting til year end.. so if wilder wants the fight he can fight Whyte in June with a guarantee that if he wins he gets AJ. That the Whyte fight will not be signed until both guys have a guarantee that the winner meets AJ. Unless wilder loses then he can have the obvious rematch ..again guaranteed with, Whyte whereby he can then try win his belt back . Where the winner can then get Joshua.
