Why would the champ travel for a non-mandatory challenger that lost by KO to the other guy that he's trying to unify with?

      It's silly lol
He'd travel because the money is in the UK. Hearn has said he'd pay Wilder millions for the fight.

Plus it would be one of Wilder's biggest fights. Wilder has a career full of bums. This would actually be an interesting fight.

        Hahahahahahahaha

Joshua smashes them both on the same night.

Stiverne is a fat bum. Ortiz has heart problems and the worst stamina in the heavyweight division. None of them put up a fight.

We saw the same thing done with GGG-Canelo. The fight was negotiated before the Canelo-Chavez fight, and announced in the ring as soon as the Canelo's fight ended.

Finally, Ward-Kovalev had their fight negotiated several fights before they actually met in the ring. I think that Ward fought Smith, Barrera and Brand - Kovalev fought Mohammedi, Pascal and Chilemba.

So this is all smoke screen stuff. Hearn (and any other promoter) is able to negotiate a fight before the outcome of a pending fight is known, as he has done it before. Promoters lie, that's what they do, it's part of promoting. The question is, are the fans dumb enough to believe whatever the promoter tells them. All we really need too do is look at their history, as these promoters contradict themselves all the time.

Wilder fighting Dillian Whyte is a waste of time. Why would Wilder get credit for defeating a cat who already got KO'd by AJ?
You can't really negotiate a fight with Wilder when he's asking for too much though can you?

Deontay isn't going to shift from his 40% stance so the fight isn't going to happen. Wilder should get the same deal as Parker and no more.

            • Wilder did the only thing he could. Hearn got found out here. He made a mistake trying to push a match up with another fighter. Embarrassing.

              • Hearn is hoping Wilder loses before Joshua does..
Its a waiting game and Hearn is in protection mode

Have to agree. The problem with Eddie Hearn is he thinks he's a better promoter than he really is. Put Whyte in with a bum and sell the tickets cheap to make him look like a star, then hope to buy more time and smooth AJ's easy entrance to the US stage. Wilder will wait til AJ gets to the US for the faceoff.

Wilder has not been paid more than two million at any fight that he has had under Haymon/PBC/Showtime.

The initial offer for him to fight Whyte is 3 million and it is said that the offer has increased.

It makes no sense for Wilder to continue with this facade that Joshua is ducking him. The initial offer to fight Whyte was there last year while Wilder was in limbo trying to find a fight in the summer. He could have done that or the defense against Stiverne in the summer, but nooooo

Parker is getting nearly 9 million dollars for this fight against Joshua. Wilder should get about 10.5 million. That is way over his worth at this point.
