Billy Joe is a Frank Warren wetdream. Fight nobody, beat the weakest world champion for the WBO belt. Hold it hostage for as many years as possible, fighting left-overs and non-threats. Then cash in with a big pay-day and see what happens. Repeat ad nauseam.

Dan Rafael is the biggest name in boxing journalism. I know he has detractors, but he doesn't get anything out of being proven wrong. He doesn't think the fight is happening based on a number of factors. Canelo 6 month suspension.
BJS will be ready May 5th if the price is right, I am not convinced he was ever really injured.Comment

I was watching a u-tube video interview today. Looks like he was being interviewed in the back seat of a Limo. Didn't know he was that articulate when he is not talking rubbish to other fighters. He had some good things to say about the Connello dirty test situation. Fighting Ggg and about fighting other middleweights. About his hand injury situation. I actually had much respect for him after hearing him talk in that interview. Mates got some boxing IQ thought he was just a whanker hoeing the WBO strap. Check it out its about 10 min long. Good suff to hear straight to the point.Comment

I don't give a **** asss if its pay per view or regular Hbo fight and neither should you.None of us is going to get a cut from the promotion so gives a fuc. Just make a fight for the undisputed middleweight championship of the world that's all any of us should be demanding if red balls gets suspended.Comment

Billy Hoe is has come crashing back to earth. when he sensed GGG set sights on him he got "injured". this dude been on cloud nine and getting nonstop praise for beating a guy everybody said was a bum when GGG starched him (Lemule). I'm not sold on the Billy Hoe hype. Golovkin folds him in half. but if he's gonna be a little hoe than give Andrade the shot.Comment

Agree. I read that article from Rafael- who takes himself way to serious, but is very accurate- in which he detailed potential replacements for Golovkin. He was emphatic that the commission would not care HOW the banned substance got there, only that it was there. Nothing short of proof of someone sabotaging Alvarez would be a reason to let it go. Rafael asserts that even in trace amounts, it is still above the minimum allowed and therefore Alvarez received benefit from the substance that his opponent would not have, even if ingested accidently. If that is the hard line they take, than the sequel for this fight is no sooner than September.
As for Saunders, eh. It would be a unification fight 2 years in the making. That would be the easiest sell for HBO and Golovkin. Losing out on the Alvarez fight would hurt his legacy and his pocketbook, so if this is the best option kill the May 5 date, set up a June one, put it on regular HBO and at least get the titles all under one roof. Golovkin has always said unification was his major goal at 160.Comment
