Comments Thread For: Joseph Parker Hopes To Spoil The Joshua-Wilder Party

By Corey Erdman - After brutally knocking out Lucas Browne on Saturday night on HBO, Dillian Whyte immediately started screaming for a fight with Deontay Wilder. He's not the only one. Any professional fighter above 200 pounds would love to crash the Anthony Joshua-Deontay Wilder party and get even a fraction of the amount of money those two are set to generate...

A focused, in shape Joshua takes care of business. Parker is a legit HW, but even at his best does not play in the top dogs yard in my opinion. What worries me is that Joshua is the man now, and he has shown some cracks in his demeanor. Twitter rants, MMA flirtations, and some ever growing entourages following him around. How AJ handles being the hunted worries me for this weeks fight way more than what Parker brings to the table.

I do think Parker is focused, and do think he will be in the best shape of his life. Joshua will get his best. If Joshua is ready, Parker at his best will still not be enough. If Joshua is buying into his own hype, than a 12 round decision loss is a serious possibility.

This is HW, any thing can happen but the odds are in favor of AJ.

Parker looks a lot sharper and quicker in recent training videos he looks like what fans were excited for when he was coming up before he became a bit heavy and ponderous.

I'm glad he's in the shape of his life and as much as I want to see AJ vs Wilder I love a good upset and it'd be priceless if Parker was too pull it off. I'll personally have the picture of Eddie's face laminated and put on my wall.

No Oilskin elbow problems opens up a whole new arsenal of uppercuts and straight rights delivered with power and speed...

The giant glass jawed robot will see them coming but is going to be to stiff and heavy footed to avoid them!

                  AJ is going down.

                  END OF STORY!!!

I'd dispute that there's nobody outside of New Zealand rooting for Parker, there's always gonna be people rooting for the underdog, especially people who follow the headlines closely and have found themselves annoyed at all of Hearn's evasive maneuvers lately, having his gravy train be derailed would be cathartic to see.

Plus, despite the fact that it could just be other factors colouring my perception, I do feel like AJ has gotten arrogant lately and it'd be pretty funny to see him toppled by such a big underdog. I think Parker's got like a 20% chance of pulling off the upset so I won't be placing any bets, but I'd still be made up if it happened.
