Their 12-round fight for Matthysse's WBA welterweight title has been pushed back from June 24 to July 8, according to a report posted to the Manila Bulletin's website Sunday. The story stated that the press conference to officially announce the Pacquiao-Matthysse match has been postponed from April 4 to April 11.

This fight is whatever for me, whether it happens or not or whether Pacquiao retires. Pacquiao is 40 now, so I'm not expecting much from him.


And I'm not saying Bob Arum needs to be included. Everytime things like this come up though he tries to intervene. And we haven't heard from him, so that may be good news, is all I'm saying.

Im surprised Arum isnt trying to make the Pacquiao Mathysse fight himself.

Pacquiaos lawyer sounds confident that Pacquiao is a free agent. I dont see Pacquiao fighting Alvarado. Hed probably sign with Golden Boy at this point unless Arum offered to make the Mathysse fight. He could stack the undercard and put it on ppv or the Espn+ app or even regular espn and it would be a big money maker and everything would be back to normal. Hopefully for Manny these financial backers come through. Hed be ****** to leave Top Rank when theyre on Espn. He could negotiate a big purse for Mathysse and way more for Crawford or Loma as a retirement fight. Hopefully Arum and Pacquiao both come to their senses so the fans can see pac loma or pac crawford. I think id rather see pac Loma
