Why you comparing other more popular fighters? Show us the Wilder numbers.
    80 thousand capacity sold out
    1.5 million PPV buys

That was for the Wladimir fight apparently, he doesn't want to talk about those statistics.

Agree. Joshua/UK fanboys gonna cry & start hating Joshua when he starts fighting in the US I bet. But thats where he'll make his biggest money at. 50% of a $80 PPV vs 50% of a $25 PPV ain't no mfing choice at all. The gate money ain't really even in play so much.

But I do foresee a day when if Joshua keeps winning he's selling out the Raiders Stadium in Vegas with 65k fans for a record breaking gate. Hell I wouldn't be THAT surprised if a 43/44 year old Floyd comes back after 2020 to fight in that stadium

AJ has made more money in less than 20 fights than Wilder in his whole career.

AJ made more in his last fight than Wilder has in his entire career.

60% of a $25 dollar ppv, but point taken overall. Problem is to do anywhere near enough numbers both Joshua and Wilder need a bigger profile than they currently do.

Not sure they would break 300k buys right now in the US.

12k attendance Mayweather vs. Berto = $10 mil gate

This is considered success in the UK

90k in attendance Joshua vs. Klitschko =£8 mil gate

                  This wasn't even a superfight

14k in attendance Calzaghe vs. Hopkins = $11 mil gate

Everybody knows the money is in the U.S. Even Barry Hearn said it. Stop playing and fooling yourself. Cotto-Canelo generated more than those £15 PPV's over there.

Joshua vs. Wilder in Vegas is a higher gate and you can charge for PPV's here and there.

I’m from the UK but let’s be honest, ANYONE who understands boxing knows there is much more money in the US then there is over here. Boxing is simply a much bigger industry in the US.

Unless a reincarnation of Mike Tyson comes into the heavyweight division to challenge Joshua, he won't be selling out any 65k seat stadium unless it's located in the UK. And who's buying a PPV of Joshua in the USA? Once he fights Wilder, there's nothing left. That's why they're putting it off and maximizing his profits before hand.

Joshua is supposedly making all that money but this is how much he can afford to bet? And he's rejoicing over that win? Sad!
