i been to a few boards and one time actually finally made one poster admit that he disliked chavez soley because he defeated taylor. I swear that win over taylor got chavez a lot of hate..

I got to see if i can get that fight with leonard, i know i remember reading a book where in leonards book it read leonard had a tough fight early on in his career.

Also Angelo Dundde said he avoided Pipeno Cuevas cause he was too dangerous of a fighter for Ray Leonards first title shot, so they went with Benitez cause he doesn't have the power Cuevas had.

If you like the elusive skillful fighter you'd be digging whittaker if you like the man who really came to fight you were backing chavez up and also to top it all off the commentators are just idiots saying bull**** because they wanted whittaker to win (it's how their ALWAYS are for Gold Medalists) they rarely mentioned chavez's moments in that fight

iwatchboxing, i looked at the corrales walk-in where he walks in with the Mexican flag, and i didn't notice this when the fight first aired, but he clearly is not representing Mexicanos. And i think you are right, i don't think he's half Mexican, and now i won't belive he part Mexican untill i hear him say it or he is quoted as saying so. Still a hell of a fighter. But you may be right. And i have the Roberto Duran video where he says he's half Mexican, i'll post it so you can see it. For now here is the corrales video.

They threw the flag in the crowd to fans so they can represent it, and Corrales always looks pissed when he enters the ring. His corner man grabbed the flag cause he saw it on his back so he can pull it out and wave it. Freaken Corrales even had the Mexican flag on his shoulder after the fight.

you may have a point, but to me the video that i posted it looked like the trainer was scared corrales may see the mexican flag and why are the flags so small and without the trainer takeing the flag from corrales back their is no other flag.

so then after this fight since on tv now people think hes mexican so now instead of denying it, chico accpets the mexican flag. But till i hear corrales say hes part mexican i ain't beliving ****. Or unless somone quote him then that will be respected to but till then, to me homie ain't mexican.
