Robero Duran -yes, he's half Mexican- gave Sugar Ray Leonard his first defeat and almost defeated Marvolous Marvin Hagler, when Duran was already past his best years.

Tim Austin may not have been great but he had a great career and was not supposed to lose to Rafael Marquez and neither was Mark "too sharp" Johnson supposed to lose to Rafael Marquez.

im sure their may be other match ups where a great black fight a great Mexican

So close was their first fight that that mayweather was afraid to have the fight in la, and la was where the money was but floyd want'd none of that.
If Floyd thought he lost, then why would he give Castillo a rematch without even hesitating. He thought he won, and wanted to remove the doubt in people's minds.

And you know the public is influenced by HBO commentating. Especially when that poll was taken on HBO's website.

But the majority of the press ringside, had Floyd winning the fight easily.

And personally, I thought Floyd won the fight due to clean punching. Castillo hit a lot of elbow and shoulders. But then again, it depends on what you look for in a fight, hence why it could've been scored either way.

what, was their amature judges, judgeing a pro fight? you're supposed to hit what is their to hit, that is a wrong mentality to have, to say elbows, forearms, shoulders aren't scorring points, that amature scorring.

I agree, that they are still scoring punches. But they shouldn't hold as much value as a punch that lands clean or flush. But that doesn't mean punches that land on the shoulders and elbows shouldn't count at all... just not as much as clean punches, because punches that land flush do more damage.

Btw, I like how we can have a nice, mature discussion without any name calling.

                      Sal Sanchez- beat azumah neslon
                      Chavez beat Taylor
                      DLH beat whitaker

                      THere are many more,

Remember this, The smaller divisions are domintated by Latinos. Blacks have not had many greats in the ring at all at smaller weight classes.

B-hop beating DLH proves that B-hop was too big for the WELTERweight that DLH was. DLH was actually winning the fight against B-hop bc yes DLH will always be better than B-hop he won championships in 6 weight classes. And came up from 130!!!!

Mosley beat a Vargas that has never been the same since TIto destroyed him.

Oscar beat MOsely in the second fight, and if anyone thinks different they should see the fight again.

JLC IMO beat PBF, i had that fight 7 rounds to 5.
