I think Browne is a step below fringe contender level. Breazeale is better in my opinion. I put Browne with guys who beat the journeymen but struggle to beat the fringe contenders. The fringe guys like Breazeale, Mansour, Chisora, Duhaupas, Wach, etc all beat Browne. I put him along side Molina, Szpilka, Rudenko, Leapai, Kauffman, Scott & Kevin Johnson...

Yeah, Wilder almost got KO'd by an old man who could box but he would kill Whyte. Whyte is a young man who can box, punch and take a punch. Wilder could knock him out but that fight is way too scary for Wilder to take as a possible cash out without a big purse that would go with a unification with Joshua/Parker.Comment

The only thing appealing to fans about Browne was his undefeated record and his KO ratio. When you look past that, you see a guy who fought mostly bums and beat his best opposition while juiced, plus he's old. Taking those factors into account, this should have been expected even though Browne looked horrible and out of shape. I figured Browne might land a few good shots and take Whyte into later rounds where Whyte would get the KO. It turns out that Browne was even worse than could be anticipated.Comment

They both suck. This entire situation with Wilder pretending to duck Whyte for awhile has been completely manufactured so to make fans think Whyte is dangerous and think Wilder-Whyte is a legitimate fight. It's not. Wilder beats him up easy. Whyte slightly stunned, but never came close to dropping or stopping, a chinny, green Anthony Joshua. Otherwise, Joshua won every round. Other than that, Whyte has gone life and death with B or C-level guys like Chisora. I have no interest in Whyte's fights. He's not a top 10 heavyweight and if he is, it's a really weak division. He's not top 5, that's for sure, and again top 5 or top 10 only matters in deep divisions. At heavyweight, all that matters is, "is he good, or not?" He's not good. He's not a top heavyweight in any era.
You talk as if Wilder has already beaten the best heavyweights out there when in reality, he's been beating journeymen and non-contenders his entire career with his best win by far being against Ortiz who was old and not juicing.
You sound like a very bias Wilder fan (like the bulk of them) who gives Wilder credit for crap wins but does not give Whyte credit when he's fought better competition than Wilder and only lost to the best in Joshua.
Please list your top 10 heavyweights currently active that does not include Whyte. I'd love to see it. I don't see any boxing logic in your criticism of Whyte, I see boxing bias. If old man, no juice Ortiz can hurt Wilder bad, there's no reason why the younger, fresher and more tested Whyte can't.Comment

Nothing like a win against Ortiz....Ortiz was unbeaten against decent opponents and for some time was considered the dark horse of the division.Browne has zilch skills, no defense, no footwork, no speed-just a punching bag with a strong right hand-provided he can land it- and he even admits so....
Meanwhile Ortiz was a tricky, powerful and skilled southpaw that the division was ducking, whereas if Browne held a proper belt then he would be a target.....Comment

Admit it, you just don't want the fight to happen in case Wilder gets exposed and knocked out before he fights Joshua.Comment
