It’s quite simple, you credit Whyte what he’s due or you don’t. That’s the best Whyte we’ve seen and on a performance as neat and tidy as it was against a guy arguably on the periphery of the top ten and former top ten he deserves a fair amount of credit.

Let’s not confuse things here, I’ve been harder on Whyte than anyone on this site when I can be bothered discussing boxing with the pond life on this site, yourself included.

If Wilder faces defeats and stops this version of Whyte he’s also deserving of an excessive amount of credit.

Do I want to see AJ vs Wilder more ? Yes of course I do, I’m a boxing fan first not a fan boy like some of the terrified agenda based cheerleaders who litter and foul this place daily. Whyte vs Wilder would be a killer fight in the mean time and really set the stage for a unification in the U.K. because let’s be honest Wilder ain’t drawing 75-90k fans anywhere in the world, folding Whyte in front of 21k in Greenwich London would go a long way to boosting his chances of getting a 40-45 percent split vs AJ.
Obviously AJ is not fighting Wilder next and besides Povetkin there is not other credible opponent. If they can do Whyte then they should, I don't care about a Breazeale/Wilder fight or an Breazeale/Whyte elimination bout.

But getting excited for a win of an old inactive HW that was slower than Foreman, fought with his hands down, never threw combinations and kept bending to his right inviting Whyte's right is a false sense of security.

Excited by Whyte’s win ? Lol, I’m excited at the prospects of a Whyte vs Wilder fight now that Dillon is clearly dedicating himself to the sport with his new trainer, took him a few fights but his punching and timing looked the best we’ve seen his entire career.

Do you follow heavyweight boxing or just the title holders ?

      • Watching the fight again now, goddamn Browne showed up out of shape. Looks like his trunks are split down the middle too! How are people talking like this is a huge win for Whyte?

The sport as a whole. Right now as I said before, AJ will not be fighting Wilder next so his credible options are limited. With these promoters next thing you know they will put Wilder and Whyte in the same card to show case them for their actual fight.

For me the titles now a days are useless, watered down and too much political posturing.

Yet you voted it as a draw or too close to call.

Bomber destroys him though but I guess he will have to be a stop on Bombers PAD THAT RECORD TOUR until AJ is ready for that smoke

                  • Career win for Whyte although Browne was in bad shape early with the cut and the eye soon closed. He should really retire unless he wants to be a gatekeeper for prospects, as that all he will be. Whyte is certainly improving and could be competitive with Wilder. Would be a big underdog still.
