There really isn't that much big money fights at 140, and I think he has missed his golden goose at 147 with Brook now becoming a fully fledged 154 fighter.
Maybe he could entice a fight with Pacquiao at the end of the year at 140?
There isn't much really there though, a near 40yo Pacquiao it's kinda ehhh not that good.

Baranchyk way too many flaws. Mikey will look good against him (again).

I think there is a strong case for Josh Taylor Vs. Mikey Garcia to be made for this year, Josh would be a very hard fight for Mikey.
Not sure McGuigan wants to go there just yet. Interview after last fight Taylor was saying hed fight Mikey, McGuigan had a "steady on mate" look on his face

How would that be a good move for him? His power has dropped sharply at 140. He used to sleep boxers at 135, but now he couldn't even knock out a kickboxer with 13 fights, despite having landed his right hand almost at will. He's only having success at 140 because it's a mediocre division. He's not gonna be able to eat punches at 147 like he did against Lipinets, and his boxing skills won't save him against top-level welterweights.

Lomachenko's a 2x world champ with under 20 fights, he's fighting Linares in May, and is supposed to be moving up to 140 for Pac later this year. How is that cowardice? Linares has been stuck with what's essentially an interim belt, because the guy he wanted to fight [Mikey Garcia] was gifted an undeserved $3m against a paper champion.

He's the one who chose to go to 140, he had to know 140 is arguably the worst division. He's had far bigger fights at 135 that would make him a lot more money. And talks about 147 but I really don't think he has any intention of going their because he knows theirs too much risk.
              He's all talk

They were in talks to make that fight in the latter stage of 2017 or so I heard, It was unfortunate we never got that fight then...
Obviously, they must still be a bit anxious about putting that one on again, dunno why I think Luke has all the tools to avenge this loss.

I was talking about Garcia/Taylor. Think Campbell/Mendy 2 will be announced pretty soon, think theyve just been waiting to see what Garcia would do.

Yeah I heard Arum was talking about bringing Loma to the UK myself, I watched him several times as an amateur over here and I’d love to watch him as a pro. The fight would do good business over here as well, even though we all know Loma wins easily you could probably put it on Sky PPV and pack out an arena like they did for GGG-Brook.
