Robert Garcia is saying to wait a few years (3-5) to make the Loma and Crawford fights.
That's a horrible mentality. Some of these fighters and trainers think they will have Mayweather-Pacquiao type of pay days if they just wait. Mikey seems to think he's a bigger star than what he is. He thinks he's Oscar de la Hoya in terms of popularity.
Does anyone know the Garcia-Lipinets attendance?
Joshua-Wilder is probably the biggest fight in boxing right now and even they won't wait 3-5 years to fight. They'll probably fight early next year, would be my guess. Then guess what? They can have a rematch. If the first fight is good then they could make more in the rematch if not around the same.
Also, Mikey doesn't like boxing. He is probably not 100% motivated right now. Does anyone think he'll be more motivated in a few years when he gets older and is about to retire?
I think Mikey retires in the next 3-5 years. He'll be 33-35, which is a good age I think.
Mikey is in his prime now. Make the most of it.
