Hey man don't shoot the messenger. I was just regurgitating all the names Mikey publicly said he wanted to fight

His fans believe this too. I used to be a big fan of his but saw through it.

He wants Mattheyse at 147 for that secondary WBA belt. He's not going to 147 for anybody else and he's not facing Prograis-Ramirez winner or Lomachenko.

          no surprise... typical mikey garcia.

i guarantee when 140 gets too tough or when fans starts pressuring mikey to move up to 147, he's gonna drop back down to 135.

Or go into hiding for a couple years again.

I think Mikey won't be around that long. I think he'll fight Baranchyk, maybe Mattheyse or the next secondary 147-title that comes up, Relikh, Figueroa and maybe another mandatory or two and go away again in a few years.

I don't think he's interested in proving greatness. I think he wants to cherry pick his fights and sell people on his greatness because his resume is lacking and will continue to do so.

              Told you guys before

He could have stayed at 135...unify with Easter and fight The Linares-Lomachenko winner but...
True I'm convinced now! First he said there was no money in a fight with Robert Easter which was lame you mean it's more money in a Lipinets fight?? Then when asked about lomachenko he said he wasn't impressed because Loma is doing things he already did three years ago!! So if that's the case why not kick lomachenko's @$$ and get more recognition by beating a guy who most see as top 3 or better p4p?? But no he's fighting a no name guy lol hahaha This doesn't look good for him.

He actually was sitting with Thurman and said he wanted to fight him in the future or wait for him. Something along those lines. Side sure knows how to promote himself.

Agree whole heartedly. Granted, Linares and Lomachenko are fighting, which only leaves Easter, but why not just fight Easter? It is a unification, and he has more name recognition than whoever this guy is he needs to make a mando against. And it brings you one step closer to a full unification at 135...

This just seems like an even more risky, yet less enticing fight. Not to mention with less on the line having only the IBF up for grabs. Why??

I’m hoping it happens in the UK, it’ll be around then though. I imagine presuming Loma beats Linares he’ll face Beltran in a unification, and then if Campbell manages to pick up the WBC belt, he’ll probably face Crolla or someone like that, then all roads lead to Loma-Campbell in 2019

I believe you it makes sense for him to target Matthyssee he's seems to be the weak link of the 47 pound champions outside of maybe Horn. I like watching Mikey fight and he has skills but all this calling out guys from 135, 40 & 47 is getting out of hand.
