Why are people acting like Joshua is a proven ppv draw??

Point I am making is for some reason people try to compare Joshua to Mayweather and Manny when he is not even on Canelo level..not even closeComment

Exactly.
Floyd v Canelo is one of the biggest PPV fights ever but it wasn't a PPV worldwide, only in USA.
A lot of Floyd's later fights were on BoxNation here. Even Sky weren't interested in picking them up except the Pacquiao fight. And Sky can outbid anyone they want here.
Nobody in boxing is a worldwide PPV star, simple as that. If Floyd, Canelo etc.. are PPV stars because they sell PPV's in just USA and nowhere else, then Joshua is also a PPV star, he just sells them in the UK instead.
Joshua is a bigger PPV star than Canelo. Canelo needs a dance partner to be a real PPV star, he did about 300k v Liam Smith. Joshua does more buys than Canelo against poor opposition in a country 5x smaller than Canelo's market.Comment

In the PPV era there have been very few truly global boxing stars. I'd say Tyson, De La Hoya, Mayweather, Pacquiao and to a lesser extent Lewis and Holyfield have been the only ones. Both the Klitschkos would have gotten that recognition too had they fought more in the States.
Roy Jones Jr should have been in that category. Real shame he isn't up there with the likes of Tyson and Mayweather as a global PPV star.
Also McGregor is undoubtedly the first and only MMA fighter to attain that level of recognition.Comment

Maybe not a proven US commodity but he's got more than enough drawing power in the UK to make them both very rich men if they fight there.Comment

He doesn't make 20 mil a fight, and who says he's the most marketable sportsman on the planet, lmao?I don't get how Joshua's team is doing a bad job at getting him known. About to fight for his 3rd belt, selling out stadiums, $20mil a fight, named the most marketable sportsman on the planet. All in 20 fights.
America aint the world, just another market he'll soon be entering.Comment
