Whilst I agree both beat Floyd, a lot of that is due to natural size. Also Floyd and SRL are drastically different fighters. Floyd is better defensively and more airtight all round whilst SRL is more offensive and has more tools in that department. I actually think it would be a very competitive fight, but ultimately SRL determination and natural advantages will get him the W.

      No chance.

Leonard and Benitez couldn't outbox Hearns.

The only way to beat Hearns was to overpower him.

Good shouts, but I'd have given McCallum a huge chance.

Hmmm...I think Oscar, Trinidad, McCallum could hang with me & Tommy, but ultimately we would beat them all. I still get nightmares about Tommy...

No and if today'd practice of weighing in the day before the fight were used, there is no one I would favor against Hearns at 147, ever.

I can think of fighters who would be competitive, but likely not winning.

                  Trinidad
                  De La Hoya
                  Mosley
                  Whitaker
                  Pac @ 147
Terry Norris (though he holds a win over a past-prime SRL)
                  Vernon Forrest
                  Winky Wright
