Anyone can punch pads or a heavybag
Hasn't he been boxing 10+ years now? Hardly a newbie.

Edit: Wilder has been boxing 13 years, Joshua 11. When's this excuse of Wilder being a newbie going to stop?

It's because Roy was only on a fairly mild amount of Nandrolone, where Wilder is overdoing it and he is now too tense.

To start with, both were overhands. And if you get a little back in that fight, Wilder had just thrown Washington through the ring with a long hook. Bonus: in the third round Wilder neutralized Washington's overhand with his left hook

I can tell you why in those clips what happened. Roy threw his hook from the blind side with his opponent slightly off balance. He was also much closer. The opponent didn't see the punch coming. Wilder threw his punches in full view of his opponent while he was much further away. The guy was looking directly at him and in a position to easily avoid the punches.

I called him a newbie because he didn't box from a young age. It's like football (soccer). Very rarely will a top player not have started at age 5 or 6. You can tell the way they move.
