But should that justify a positive test? Should we just shove it under the rug because it potentially could have come from contaminated meat? The guy has been getting drug tested for probably close to a decade now and he all of a sudden gets popped, let's just forget it. One of the most important things a professional athlete can do is take care of his body and know what he's possibly injecting, this is his responsibility. I'm not saying he's guilty or innocent, but to give these guys passes on this stuff because of the meat situation is just as bad as calling someone guilty without sufficient evidence
Sulaiman doesn’t want to admit it, but most Mexicans probably have .0005 levels of Clen in their body. This standard is why WADA has leniency for the 1ng threshold and investigation if it’s considered to be contaminated meat. People are naive to think that the commercial meat factories are the only local sources for meats. There has to be tons of private owners with their own livestock as privatized business in livestock in most parts of the world supplying to rural areas. A lot of it too could be Canelo’s confidence and naiveness hanging around his areas with his Mack truck hanging around friends etc. Floyd was super cautious as well publicizing his own chef. I don’t know of any other boxer as critical as Floyd. Stateside boxers have the luxury with food sources compared to Mexico or China for the simple styles in regulation. If Conte said 53 commercial meat houses were fined shows the shadiness Of business owners not caring, and as men know, there’s always ways around it.
Though, seeing how 80 days out for VADa Testing is out of the norm, people shouldn’t rule out foul play, and that’s funny as hell to put a stunt like that on the Canelo camp. Perhaps his crew was followed around during the first press conferences and was spiked Clen powder in a drink since a tablet alone has more potency than 300 grams of meat. Then they would inform VADA within these weeks to test.
WADA did tests to acknowledge the March 3 and 5th tests in a timely manner. Meaning Golden Boy and K2 in their press conferences already knew about it, from Feb 28, from the 17th, 11 days. I think GBP and K2 are playing games with the public
I think he was just careless and truly got clen on his system by accident, maybe by eating the dreaded tainted meat (which IS a real, well documented ongoing problem in mexico)
I mean, Canelo wouldn't have gotten caught if it wasn't for the VADA testing that he himself requested
if he was truly doping, it'd be incredibly ****** to request additional testing, therefore increasing his chances of getting caught by a tenfold
If Canelo was truly doping, he would have dismissed VADA testing and just do the normal antidoping tests, like Juan Manuel MarPEDS did after hooking up with Memo Heroidia. and GGG would have to accept it because ginger is the a-side
Ginger didnt cheat on purpose, and this was more a case of being irresponsible
2-3% of athletes from Mexico get busted for Clenbuterol. Canelo has been a pro for 10+ years, and never had a problem with tainted meat. Acting like he suddenly can't eat at a restaurant is ridiculous. He, along with hundreds of other athletes including boxers, are fine and never get busted for 'tainted meat'.
In this case, either he cheated, or he was a complete imbecile. Don't try to exonerate him.

It doesn't justify a positive test but there is already a precedent set for how the testing bodies deal with tainted meat cases.
And for sure it doesn't justify calling Canelo a cheater if this is something that happened accidentally.

He can eat out in America where the meat isn’t tainted.
Or he can cut the crap and order untainted meat to be shipped to his ranch in Mexico. No excuses when it’s been known the meat has been tainted.
He can't control what meat he might encounter there or with a street taco vendor or what have you.
Does he have to resign himself to giving up one of life's pleasures as a result of the tainted meat epidemic in his home country?
He doesn't have to give up on eating cheap meat, but tainted meat has been an issue in Mexico for years. Like Conte said, there's no way Canelo and his team didn't see this coming. Couldn't he have just have held his training camp in the states? Hell, he's doing that right now.
