Floyd can do good in UFC if....

I know y'all be thinking he's going to get mashed, but listen to reason for a second.

UFC is hurting, if you don't see it you're blind. McGregor is their last star left and he's looking comfy and done right about now. You can't run an organization like UFC without stars selling PPV's. The FOX deal appears to be cut in half, dark days are in front of UFC.

Mayweather can be matched up with some scrublets after he learns sprawling, submission defense, and defense against kicks. You think his hands are brittle, but he doesn't need to hit 10 power on another fighter with those gloves to knock their soul out. Floyd can jab and pull counter opponents at 50% and get knockouts.

Mayweather will sell mega PPV's no matter who it's against and if UFC is smart they'll match him against fighters he can beat. Floyd and UFC make mega paydays and UFC lives to fight another day.

It's smart business. I can't see Floyd NOT fighting at least one UFC fight. He's never pumped anything up and not delivered.

Realistically, he would need to work on his takedown defense and ground game and against Brazilian Jiu Jitsu experts I just don't see him surviving with basic skills. I do see your point, however, about White using Mayweather's legacy to build up UFC to where it was back in 2007, but matching him against easy opponents won't con MMA fans for long because the ranking system is so transparent and sooner or later they're gonna demand he face one of the top 10, unlike boxing where you can avoid the top dogs for years.

Really don't want to see it.He is 41 now too late to learn new game imo.And it will give all the haters a reason to bash him all the more because in MMA at this age he is gonna have to fight bums and people will say he is doing what he did in boxing which is NOT TRUE.The money aint worth the damage it will do to his legacy(even though it should not)And at least McGreagor was in his prime Floyd just too old.

One kick or one takedown and it's game over.

He has a punchers chance that's it.

jesus...the thought of Floyd losing at anything probably keeps you up at night. why would competing in an entirely different sport damage his legacy in boxing? that's where he has a legacy...he's not some undefeated universal combat athlete.

Hell John Jones only learned for a year or 2 and took over MMA and destroyed everyone in his path and only was super skilled in wrestling.

Mayweather is a master striker with his hands and only needs Jujitsu and wrestling and kicking techniques to develop but not really master fast, because it's not like the UFC and MMA have the greatest boxing and kicking experts ever seen, they are actually average striker at best and just jujitsu students or college wrestlers.

So if Jones can destroy everyone even jujitsu Black Belts and life long MMA fighters with little training, then why can't the best boxing and defensive expert we have ever seen, learn jujitsu techniques for about a couple of months and learn some kicking techniques and actually be quite effective and win some MMA fights against nobodies in MMA, those stepping stone fighters that loses to everyone.

I don't really care what he does in mma...I'd respect him for giving it a go tho. he's not just gonna do it to fight low level guys...if he does, it'll be for a massive payday, which probably gives you a stiffy.

                  UFC ain't hurting.

                  They'll be just fine.

Everybody kept saying the same "what are they gonna do when 'x fighter' leaves."

UFC is a BRAND, they have a pretty big base of dedicated hardcore fans who watch for the sport not for the stars.

People say the same abut boxing, but it keeps trucking along.

UFC aint going nowhere with or without Floyd.

Floyd isn't the answer anyway even if they are hurting. He would demand such a massive price, and he's not sticking around for more than a few fights. So wouldn't the be back in the same place without Conor anyway, ACCORDING to you anyway.

Lol I do kinda think Floyd just may give this MMA thing a try. Sure, they can find some scrub off the street with little experience that Floyd might be able to ice. but he ain't beating any established journeyman.
