I think he can do good. All that stuff about Rhonda rag dolling him was crap. Mayweather is a very muscular powerful man who was never out wrestled by another boxer and he fought some very strong boxers. If he fights in the UFC he will give it the same 100% effort he gave boxing because he hates losing. He will train very hard and probably have better stamina than the MMA guys do. With those little gloves and the weak chins most MMA guys have compared to boxers he will become a KO puncher. With his lightning fast. accurate hands and timing I think he could score lots of quick KOs before the fight ever goes to the ground. Fighting on the ground is what he must work on the most. He has never done that and he will be fighting guys who are experts at that type of fighting. Kicking would be a waste of his time for someone that good with his fists.
Floyd can do good in UFC if....

Floyd is 41 years old. You're not going to be able to rebuild the UFC post McGregor (I doubt he comes back either) off of the back of Floyd.I know y'all be thinking he's going to get mashed, but listen to reason for a second.
UFC is hurting, if you don't see it you're blind. McGregor is their last star left and he's looking comfy and done right about now. You can't run an organization like UFC without stars selling PPV's. The FOX deal appears to be cut in half, dark days are in front of UFC.
Mayweather can be matched up with some scrublets after he learns sprawling, submission defense, and defense against kicks. You think his hands are brittle, but he doesn't need to hit 10 power on another fighter with those gloves to knock their soul out. Floyd can jab and pull counter opponents at 50% and get knockouts.
Mayweather will sell mega PPV's no matter who it's against and if UFC is smart they'll match him against fighters he can beat. Floyd and UFC make mega paydays and UFC lives to fight another day.
It's smart business. I can't see Floyd NOT fighting at least one UFC fight. He's never pumped anything up and not delivered.
The UFC is in trouble, but the remedy is different, imo anyway; the UFC needs to take their 12 PPVs, the 4 FOX shows, and the Fight Nights, etc, and pitch everything as one package to whatever TV partner that they end up signing with.
10 years, $4 billion, with the UFC getting points on the PPVs (spitballing here, but let's assume the split is 70/30 UFC).
Cut the number of PPVs, put as many shows on terrestrial TV as possible (you can basically cover what you'd make with a 150k PPV buys show on terrestrial TV or regular HBO/Showtime).
Put good fights in front of as big an audience as you can, and hope that a few fighters connect with the crowd to rebuild the PPV audience.Comment

What people fail to realize if Mayweather gets on his bike in the Octagon it's going to be hard for people to take him down, they'll have to shoot from way too far and expose themselves to easy counter shots. The cage doesn't have corners, so cutting off somebody like Mayweather will be impossible, boxers can't cut him off in a a square ring, just imagine the strikers in the UFC trying to cut him off in the Octagon LOL. If Floyd stands his ground then yes he might be an easy target but using your feet and distance against wrestlers and kickers will make them eventually overcommit and lose their balance and that's where Floyd's game is the best. Intersting!Comment

They said the same thing about boxing with Tyson, Oscar, Floyd, and Pacquiao. Now we got Canelo. Both sports will be fine.Comment
