What's the point in all these Hatton hate threads?

ricky hatton ain't ****.he's definitely overrated all hatton does is alot of holding,grabbing and leaning on his oppenents thats it. hatton walks in throws to wild hooks and then grabs and once he's in a clinch starts to throw punches.ricky hatton is overrated when he fought collazo he basiclly lost but they gave him the victory any way. in my oppinion hatton isn't going to beat anyone all he does is smuther people and yeah it worked against kostya tszu but tszu is kind of old collazo isn't thats why hatton had so much problems with collazo everyone hatton fights from here is just gonna make him look bad and idon't think hatton or collazo could beat cotto

I believe KT's age was a major factor for him quitting on the stool in a fight he was ahead in, going into the last round.

However, stylistically, Hatton was a bad match-up for Kostya who really doesn't throw punches in combinations. He's more of a... 1.....1.....1-2 type of puncher, which means Hatton could easily smother him and start to pound away. Collazo on the other hand is a slick boxer who lets his hands go.

Yes, Tszyu was the best, Hatton whooped him into submission, now it's time to take on another best in class. Let's see if he is up to the challenge. I never said he wasn't good. I just got pissed that the fight was stolen from Collazo, and just stating that Hatton is overhyped.

I don't think the fight was stolen from Collazo, it was a close fight but Hatton clearly won IMO.

Hatton's tactics were wrong for the Collazo fight, and Collazo is a style nightmare for Hatton, plus Collazo has fought at light middleweight and prior to that fight Hatton had only fought at 140. Bad fight for him to take, but he took it and won.

I agree that he should be looking for big fights though.

Tszyu was behind on all 3 cards going into the final round.

The reason he quit is much more likely to be his broken jaw and the beating he was taking.

It's not only Hatton. It's Cotto and Floyd and Margarito and many other fighers.. Not just Hatton. Cotto is another fight that is hated on.
