It wasn't even the weight(maybe a little) or that he was 25. IMO it was because it was his 2nd pro fight and first 12 round fight Salido didn't even land on him except low blows and body shots. Loma was hitting him but with salidos constant pressure Loma preserved his energy and Salido won simply because Loma didn't do anything. Same with the Russell fight after beating the **** outta him he moved a little to save his energy now he goes for the kill pressures like crazy hes use to the 12 rounds.

He might not be the heaviest hitter but his technique is certainly not "slappy". Also seems that as he's become more comfortable in the pros he's sitting down on his punches more and more.

Yes he does hit hard in addition to being a lightning fast skillful boxer. If he didn't hit hard his opponents wouldn't get knocked out or quit so often.

Loma doesn't have transcendent, generational power (obviously), but he has enough of it, combined with his ridiculous skill, that he does real damage

That should be pretty apparent to anybody who actually knows even half of what they're seeing

He doesn't have a lot of power but who says that's a problem? He is winning all his fights and has incredible skills in other areas.

                      This.

He's definitely been putting more on his shots since his first 5-6 fights.
