I see them shortening, at least in the UK market. Sky are always gushing over Linares and British fans have now seen him beat Mitchell, Crolla and Campbel, so they'll be inclined to bet on him.

I see your point. I think the actual fight will be a mismatch. Are you betting on Linares winning? If so, we could do a points bet, if you like.

        No.

Lomachenko is in a different league to a guy like Linares.

Gotta give Linares some credit for finally stepping up and not facing another euro level guy
He has the style to give Loma some trouble because of his speed and length but Loma will expose Linares' weak defence with superior timing and punch selection

Antonio demarco is not a journeyman? I guess we have different definitions of journeyman. I also said after rigo loses, people would say he had no good wins and was overrated. Can you imagine what people would say after linares loses? Lomo gets zero credit for this win.
There really weren't "many" who claimed him in top5. A few idiots is not something to base your rankings on. I didn't do a good search, but here's June 2017 ESPN's P4P - they have him at #10. Find me a decent source that has him that high. There really weren't any.

I said Rigo is overrated way before the Lomachenko fight was announced, let alone occured. Here's a post from April 2017

And here's a post from 2016 saying the same thing.

For me, a win over Linares would be TONS better than Rigo. Rigo was in fact old and small. Linares is in his prime, same size as Loma, and I value his skills greatly.

Why can't Loma ever challenge himself? Why is he always the favorite? Where's all the Loma prime atg wins?

If this sounds ******ed for Lomachencko than why was this logic used against other fighters and fine?

Linares never really won a big fight in his career. In fact his losses weren't even supposed to be big fights, they were just developing fights, showcase fights, and he still lost. His fights that made people believe in him, Crolla, Mitchell, were against low-eurolevel journeymen. Then there's Arakawa, Gesta and Campbell. Really not 1 fighter that sticks out.

Lomachenko beat Walters, Rigondeaux, Russell Jr, Sosa, Martinez, pretty much top 10 guys who were actually dangerous and seen as good fighters.
